Fine art paper. Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm. 100% cotton, textured matte, archival. Every paper print comes with a white border for framing or block mounting
Canvas. Epson Eclipse Premium Satin 420gsm, UV lacquered and archival. Rolled and stretched canvas use a mirror wrap, so the image continues around the edges as a mirrored reflection rather than stopping flat.
Framing. Solid Victorian Ash, an Australian hardwood grown in alpine Victoria.
Classic Frame is 40mm wide, 35mm deep. The print sits behind acrylic, close to the front of the frame. Available in every size.
Deep Set Frame is 20mm wide, 40mm deep, set back 30mm. The print, border and acrylic sit recessed inside the frame, giving a gallery-style shadow line. It's the frame most people choose. Available up to 120x90cm, and up to 180x60cm in panoramic.
Glazing. Museum-grade acrylic as standard, lighter than glass and virtually unbreakable. Non-reflective acrylic is available on request if the wall catches glare. In Perth we can also frame with UV70 glass.
Acrylic face mount. Metallic paper face mounted to acrylic, made to order. Choose it in the material options above.
The listed size always refers to the printed image itself, not the border or frame.
We add an additional 5cm border width across all prints.

Your print is made at a family-run lab in North Perth, Western Australia. They've been printing for over forty years, and they've printed every Salty Wings order since we started.
Rolled prints are ready in 3 to 8 business days.
Framed and stretched prints are ready in 10 to 20 business days.
Once it leaves the lab, most major Australian cities take under a week. Regional and remote, allow another 1 to 2 weeks.

Everything is made to order, so occasionally you'll see an option missing or listed as Ask us about this size. Two reasons.
Frame size. The Deep Set profile is too slender to hold a print larger than 120x90cm safely, or 180x60cm in panoramic. Above that we frame in Classic.
Image size. Some images cap out earlier depending on the camera, the light and the conditions on the day. That's our recommendation rather than a hard limit, so ask if you want to go bigger. For these we often suggest canvas, which is more forgiving with fine detail and holds up well at large sizes.

Very happy with the picture itself but very unhappy with the complete lack of wrapping/protection on it when I picked it up. It was a miracle I got it home undamaged

I ordered a canvas print of Busselton Jetty for my dad as a Christmas present to put on his dinning room wall to add some colour, also as he lives in Busselton. He absolutely loved the print, there was so much detail in the print you could even see people in the water and sand. It’s a beautiful print, even maybe looking to go one for myself, as I grew up in Busselton it’s so nice to have the iconic jetty. The print once ready was even delivered to my house on a time and day that suited me. They kept me up to date with how the print was coming along and when would be ready. Couldn’t fault salty wings, highly recommend there canvas prints!

The photo is beautiful. We like it very much. The mistake we made however was buying it in too big a size. It’s too big to put in our car to take to our new house.

We use the highest quality archival UV-lacquered canvas. Epson Eclipse Premium Satin, 420gsm.
Our canvases use mirror-wrap edges — the image extends 40mm around each side, wrapping seamlessly around the canvas.
For big walls, we love canvas. More forgiving on detail, easier and lighter to hang, lower risk to ship — and it holds up beautifully at scale.
Stretched Canvas
Stretched around a wooden frame, strung at the back, ready to hang. 40mm deep — the mirror-wrap reflections cover the sides.
