Canvas
We use the highest quality archival UV lacquered canvas. Epson Eclipse Premium Satin canvas, 420gsm.
Rolled canvas ships in a rigid boxed cylinder.
A rolled canvas has not yet been stretched and is not ready to hang on the wall.
Rolled canvas is available for shipping worldwide.
Unframed - Rolled Canvas
Our rolled canvases are printed to be eventually stretched over and around a frame.
Therefore we print them with a "mirror wrap" where the image stops at the canvas edge, and the sides to be wrapped are a reflection of the main image.
The size that you order will be the size of the main image. The mirror reflections will add 40mm of printed image to each edge of your canvas. The mirror reflections will be marked with black lines (in each corner) to help guide stretching.
Mirror Wrap
Please note the mirror effect along the canvas edges in the image opposite. This comes standard on all of our unframed - rolled - canvas orders.
The mirrored sides are marked by black lines as guides for stretching.
Canvas Texture
We use the highest quality archival UV lacquered canvas. Epson Eclipse Premium Satin canvas, 420gsm.
Visually, the surface of a lacquered canvas displays a high gloss, an effect that imbues the artwork with depth and vibrancy.
Unlike the raw, fibrous texture of an untreated canvas that allows you to feel the grain of the canvas, a lacquered surface is slick and continuous, offering a smoother hint of the texture beneath.
Stretched Canvas
Stretched canvas is stretched around a wooden frame and arrives ready to hang.
Our canvas prints are "mirror wrap" where the main image stops at the canvas edge and the wrapped sides are a reflection of the main image.
Stretched Canvas Size
The final product will be the same dimensions as the selected print size. Stretched canvases are 40mm deep, meaning the mirror reflections will be 40mm deep.
Stretched Canvas with Profile Frame
An additional frame, about 10mm wide, is placed around the stretched canvas.
The frame will add 20-30mm to the width and length of the listed size.
The profile frame is 10mm wide x 55mm deep.
Profile Frame
We offer our profile frame in White or Raw Oak.
Stretched canvas and canvas with profile frame up to 120cm x 90cm come with a wire across the back, ready to hang. From 140cm x 105cm they come with two D-rings and a marked hanging point on the back. Hang from the rings, not a wire: the weight is carried on two fixings and the canvas sits flatter against the wall.
