We're Michael and Jampal, two Australian photographers who've spent the last decade in the air above this country, trying to show people what Australia really looks like from above.

Not the postcard version. The real thing. The red pindan cliffs of the Kimberley at dawn. The impossible turquoise of Ningaloo from 80 metres up. The green cathedral of Boranup Forest. Bondi at golden hour from a helicopter door.

We started Salty Wings in 2015 with a single drone and an idea: to catalogue the Australian coastline from the sky and make it available as fine art prints. We numbered every image from SW0001. We're well past SW2000 now and still going.

Every photograph in our collection was taken by us. No stock images, no AI, no shortcuts. Just two Australians with cameras, a deep love for this country, and a printer in North Perth who's been doing this for over 40 years.

Michael runs the day-to-day at Salty Wings now.
